Soho House Membership Benefits
Thinking of joining Soho House and wondering what’s included in a membership? I’ve had a membership for over 2 years, so I’ve got first hand knowledge of everything you’ll get when you join. In this article I’ll cover all the Soho House membership benefits that you’ll have access to when you sign up.
Soho House, the notorious members club that started life above a restaurant in London, is now recognised as a worldwide brand.
It’s a place for creatives to connect, hang out and unwind, with locations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America.
I’ve been a member for 2 years, and know pretty much everything there is to know about being part of the club.
But before I joined, I wasn’t sure what was included as part of the membership. So in this guide, I’m going to tell you about all of the Soho House membership benefits, and how valuable I think they are based off of my experience.

Access to studios and houses
Obviously the top Soho House membership benefit, and the reason most people join, is to access the houses across the world.
Whether you want to visit a lively bar, have dinner at the restaurant, or catch up with friends in a beautiful space, there’s something for everyone.
Soho House is a global brand that’s made its mark on the hospitality industry. What started as a small venue in London has grown to over 35 houses across Europe, the UK, North America, and the Middle East.
And you get access to all of them when you join.
What I love most about having a membership is that whenever I’m travelling to a city with a Soho House, I know there’s a reliable bar and restaurant for me to visit. It’s like the familiarity of meeting up with an old friend in a completely new place.

How valuable is this benefit: Considering this is the main reason people join Soho House, it’s definitely the most valuable Soho House benefit. For me, this is where the full membership really proves its value over Soho Friends.
Whilst you save a lot of money with Soho Friends, the inability to just walk into one of the houses unless you’re spending the night meant I rarely used it.
With the full membership, I get so much value from visiting the bars and restaurants, using the gym, spa and the swimming pools. If ever I’m on holiday somewhere with a Soho House, it’s comforting to know there’s a reliable place to go to if we need it.
Bring up to 3 guests at a time
With a Soho House membership, you can bring 3 guests with you every time you visit. Whether you’re just popping in for a drink, or staying a few days.
How valuable is this benefit: I think this is a huge perk of the Soho House membership, as it means you can bring a group of your friends or family completely free.
You’ll always be allowed entry, even if you haven’t reserved ahead of time (although this doesn’t guarantee you a table), so it’s really useful to be able to visit on a whim.
As well as being a really generous perk, it’s also a handy money-saving hack. If you know you’re always going to be visiting with one person, you could split the cost of the membership between you.
Connect with other members
One of the greatest Soho House membership benefits is the ability to connect with likeminded individuals. They often hold ‘members ‘Members Mixers’ – drinks nights that give the opportunity to meet other members.
Whether you’re looking to expand your professional network, or make some new friends, it’s a brilliant way to do it.
How valuable is this benefit: Although I don’t personally use this benefit much, I can see how it’d be really useful if you were new to a city, or trying to grow a business and looking to network.
Daily events
Soho House has a jam packed events calendar, and the variety on offer is one of the best Soho House membership benefits. From drag dinners to cookery classes, jazz evenings to run clubs, there’s something for everyone.
Whilst you have to pay for some of them, a lot of the events are free. And they often partner up with experts in the industry to give you the very best experience. If you’re ever stuck for something to do, no doubt there will be something on at Soho House.
Here’s an example of some of the events at my local house in Barcelona.
How valuable is this benefit: The events put on by Soho House are well curated and so much fun. There’s something for everyone, pretty much every night of the week.
If I’m looking for something to do in the city, you can count on Soho House having some of the best events around. A lot of thought and time goes into making them as good as they are, and they’re a really great benefit of the membership.
The best rates on bedrooms
With a Soho House membership, you’ll get the biggest discount on bedrooms if you want to spend the night. If you have a Soho Friends membership, you get a discount on the room rate, but it’s less.
How valuable is this benefit: Now, technically, this is a bit of a sticky “benefit” in my opinion.. It’s advertised as a perk of the membership, but considering you can ONLY stay the night if you have a membership, you’re not getting a discount off of a rate that the public would have to pay, because they can’t stay. It’s just the room rate.
The only real benefit here is that the discount is higher than the Soho Friends discount. But it is quite a substantial difference, so it might be worth getting the full membership if you’re going to be staying a lot.
Access to the gym and spas
Having access to world-class gyms is one of the biggest Soho House membership benefits.
Equipment varies by location but you can expect there’s treadmills, rowers, squat racks, boxing rings and Peloton bikes. Plus, weekly classes including HIIT, tennis, yoga and barre.
And if you’re looking for a more focused workout, you can book a session with a personal trainer.
Soho House is also home to the Cowshed spa brand. It started at Babington House in Somerset, one of the first Soho House properties to open back in 1998. And having a membership gives you access to all Cowshed spas.
Pretty much everything you could want is on offer – including massages, hair cuts, manicures and even face workouts.
Spa locations:
- Babington House, Somerset
- Primrose Hill, London
- Shoreditch House, London
- Soho Farmhouse, Oxfordshire
- Soho Beach House, Miami
- Soho House Amsterdam
- Soho House Barcelona
- Soho House Berlin
- Soho House Chicago
- Soho House Istanbul
- Soho House New York
- Soho House Rome
How valuable is this benefit: The gyms and spa at Soho House are world class, and they do an extensive list of treatments, some of which are exclusive to them. In the summer, it’s so nice to visit the houses with outdoor pools and spend the day relaxing and dipping in the water. For me, this is one of the best benefits of my membership.
Plus, if you’re already paying for a gym, this is one of the best perks of Soho House, as you can put the savings towards the cost of the membership.
Discount at Soho Home
Soho Home is the interiors range from Soho House, featuring everything from soft furnishings to larger pieces.
As you’d expect from a place as beautiful as Soho House, everything is absolutely stunning, and you can find most of the pieces in the bedrooms and communal spaces of the houses.
A great benefit of having a Soho House membership is that you get 15% discount off everything at Soho Home. So whether you want a new bed or a candle, it’s the perfect place.
How valuable is this benefit: If you’re looking for beautiful interiors, this benefit is really valuable, as Soho Home does some of the nicest furniture on the market.
Member rates at the restaurants
When you become a member of Soho House, you can discount at their restaurants all around the world, listed below:
Cecconi’s – the famous Italian restaurant began life in Mayfair in 1978 before being taken over by Soho House. You’ll find it at the following locations:
- Mayfair
- Shoreditch
- Cecconi’s Pizza Bar – Old Compton Street
- Bicester Village
- Miami Beach
- West Hollywood
- DUMBO, New York
- Mumbai
- Istanbul
- Berlin
- Barcelona
- Amsterdam
Other restaurants include:
- Dean Street Townhouse, London
- Kettner’s, London
- Electric Diner, London
- Cafe Boheme, London
- High Road Brasserie, London
- Hoxton Grill, London
- Maya at The Hoxton, London
- Farmshop, Oxfordshire
- Mandolin Aegean Bistro, Miami
- Le Vallauris, Palm Springs
- The Allis – Chicago, Istanbul & Miami
- Fox Bar, Chicago
- La Caseta, Barcelona
- The Ned, London
How valuable is this benefit: If you like eating out a lot, these discounts are a great way of saving some money and enjoying good food.
You’ll get different discounts depending on your membership type (U27s vs a full membership) and they differ depending on the day. But there’s the opportunity to save a lot of money, so I find it really valuable.
Discounts at partner brands
As well as the benefits included at the houses, your Soho House membership also gets you discount at lots of other brands. The offers vary, but they can include savings on partner hotels, technology, spa treatments, restaurants, activities, and even private jets.
How valuable is this benefit: It entirely depends on what the offer is and whether it’s something you’ll use, but I’ve saved money on different experiences and gifts using this.
I hope you found this guide to the Soho House membership benefits helpful. There’s a lot included when you join!
