How to Get to Soho Farmhouse – With or Without a Car

Its remote location is one of the biggest appeals about visiting Soho Farmhouse.

You have to drive down endless country lanes before you reach the entrance, and even once you get through the main gates you still have to navigate down a seemingly never-ending lane before you actually arrive at the farmhouse.

It’s all part of the experience to make sure you truly relax and unwind. With zero distractions. But that can make it tricky to know how to find it.

Fear not! I’ve been plenty of times and I’m going to make it really easy for you. By the end of this post you’ll know exactly how to get to Soho Farmhouse – whether you’re driving or taking public transport.

I’d personally take the train as it’s only a 15-minute journey.

How to get to Soho Farmhouse by car

Driving is the easiest way to get to Soho Farmhouse, and you have the added bonus of being able to stop off in the neighbouring Cotswolds villages along the way.

It takes about 2 hours to drive to Soho Farmhouse from London, just put this address into your navigation: Great Tew, Chipping Norton OX7 4JS, UK.

You’ll know you’re nearly there when you’re driving alongside a honey-coloured wall that you can’t see over. The other side of that wall is the grounds of Soho Farmhouse.

Make sure you keep an eye out for the Soho Farmhouse sign, it’s easy to miss! Once you drive through the entrance you’ll see a VERY long drive that you’ll need to follow right to the end.

It can feel like it’s going on forever but don’t worry, Soho Farmhouse is tucked away at the bottom.

Parking at Soho Farmhouse

Parking is free and there’s two options depending on whether you’re visiting for the day or staying overnight.

For both options, you drive to the bottom of the driveway, but if you’re staying overnight you’ll want to turn right before the hut, and if you’re visiting for the day you turn right at the very bottom, after the hut.

It’s clearly signposted so don’t worry about missing it.

Day guests

On arrival, you’ll come to a window where a member of staff will ask for your Soho House membership and be instructed to park in the large carpark closest to the farmhouse.

Overnight guests

On arrival you’ll be asked for your name through an intercom and be asked to park in the small car park closest to the hut, which is actually the reception.

Once you’re parked, you’ll head inside to reception to get checked in. At this point, you’ll hand your car keys over and the very friendly team will park your car for you in the larger car park, and take your luggage to your room.

On check out, they’ll bring your car back round to the entrance with your luggage already inside. Honestly, the service here is unrivalled.

Getting from the car park to Soho Farmhouse

This part is really easy once you know how, but if it’s your first time visiting it can be confusing.

And we’ve all been there where we don’t want to ask because we don’t want to trouble anyone, but ultimately end up looking a little lost.

Walk

The car park is only a short walk to the Main Barn – the central hub of Soho Farmhouse and the perfect place to have lunch or grab a drink.

Head towards the top left of the larger car park (with the reception hut behind you) and you’ll see a small pathway.

Follow the path for about 30 seconds and you’ll come to a large opening. Turn left and follow the road up until you come to a gravelled area, and on your right will be an opening into the main area.

You don’t have to head here first though – the grounds are yours to explore!

Take the milk float

The other option is to wait for the milk float. They run regularly from the reception to the Main Barn and are a really fun way to arrive.
