The Best Hotels Near Soho Farmhouse

Soho Farmhouse has become increasingly popular thanks to its idyllic location, offering the perfect opportunity to unwind and relax.

But that means it can be difficult to find availability in the bedrooms, especially if you’re visiting last minute.

Luckily, there’s plenty of brilliant hotels near Soho Farmhouse, and I’ll go through them all in this guide.

The best hotels near Soho Farmhouse (next door)

Don’t fancy a long journey after a day at the farm? I don’t blame you. These hotels are just down the road from Soho Farmhouse.

The Stables, Chipping Norton

A rustic outdoor space featuring a hot tub surrounded by wooden benches on a stone patio, set against a traditional stone cottage facade with small windows and a green door.

The Stables a 9-minute drive from Soho Farmhouse in Chipping Norton. It sleeps 4 people so it’s perfect for a group, with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and outside there’s even a hot tub!

The inside is basic but has everything you need, with the added bonus of a kitchen if you fancy cooking. If not, there’s several pubs in Chipping Norton so you’ll have plenty of choice.

The Falkland Arms

A picturesque inn with ivy-covered walls, a thatched roof, and a cozy rural charm. A wooden sign reads "Falkland Arms," and a board in the foreground welcomes visitors.

Just an 8-minute drive from Farmhouse, The Falkland Arms is a cosy 16th-century pub in the idyllic village of Great Tew.

There’s 5 beautiful bedrooms and the pub downstairs services hearty food and award-winning ales.

The best hotels near Soho Farmhouse – for larger groups

Travelling with friends? These hotels are the perfect places for larger groups.

Alysas Cottage

A charming stone cottage with symmetrical windows, a green front door, and a neatly maintained gravel driveway. A small patio with outdoor seating is set to the side, adding a welcoming touch.

Also in Chipping Norton, Alysas Cottage is a 17-minute drive from Soho Farmhouse.

This home is perfect for larger groups with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room and a kitchen. The interiors feel really cosy and there’s a generous outside space.

Priory Cottage

A lush garden courtyard enclosed by stone walls, featuring a vibrant green lawn and a shaded patio dining area with a wooden table and chairs. Trees and plants enhance the tranquil setting.

Priory Cottage is in Charlbury, where you’ll most likely arrive on the train. There’s 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a large patio and garden. Inside, it’s finished to a really high standard – it’s the perfect choice if you want to stay near Soho Farmhouse.

Upper Barn

A bright, modern living room with a cream sectional sofa, colorful pillows, a glass coffee table, and an open layout leading to a dining and kitchen area. The soft, neutral decor creates an inviting, airy atmosphere.

Upper Barn has 3 bedrooms, a kitchen and 2 bathrooms, plus a great outside area. It sleeps 6 people so there’s plenty of space if you’re visiting with friends, and there’s lots to keep you occupied in Chipping Norton.

The best hotels near Soho Farmhouse – cosy pubs

Soho Farmhouse is located in The Cotswolds, an idyllic area full of country pubs serving excellent food, with beautiful rooms above.

They’re some of my favourite places to stay in the area, and the perfect choice if you’re visiting Soho Farmhouse.

The Kingham Plough

A cozy pub interior with stone walls, wooden furniture, and a warm, ambient atmosphere. A table features a glass of wine, a pint of beer, and a candle, creating a relaxed vibe.

Located in Kingham, only a short walk from The Wild Rabbit, the Kingham Plough offers beautiful bedrooms, some with freestanding baths, and a cosy restaurant downstairs.

It’s a 25-minute drive to Soho Farmhouse.

The Swan Inn

A classic stone building with "The Swan" sign prominently displayed, surrounded by lavender plants. The sloping roof and traditional architecture add to its timeless appeal.

Also a 25-minute drive from Soho Farmhouse, The Swan Inn is from the Country Creatures group, who also own one of my favourite hotels in The Cotswolds, Double Red Duke.

Expect beautiful interiors and excellent food, all at a really reasonable price.

Double Red Duke

The sister hotel to The Swan, Double Red Duke is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. A former grain store, it’s been lovingly restored throughout, with 19 beautifully-decorated bedrooms, many with freestanding baths. A

lthough it’s slightly further away from Soho Farmhouse than some of the other hotels, it’s worth the drive for the exceptional food and the proximity to lots of amazing villages in The Cotswolds.

If you don’t have a car, there’s a lovely walk to neighbouring Bampton, where parts of Downton Abbey were filmed. Or, cancel all plans and book yourself in for a massage in the garden spa shed.

Artist Residence

A cozy attic bedroom with exposed beams, a comfortable bed with a blue blanket, and eclectic decor including framed art and a red sofa. The room also features a fireplace and a small desk, blending rustic and modern touches.

Slightly further afield, Artist Residence is a 35 minute drive from Soho Farmhouse, but it’s worth the slightly longer journey to stay here. The Artist Residence hotels are amongst my go-to hotel brands and their Oxfordshire location is definitely my favourite.

A traditional pub with rooms, grab a board game and curl up by the fireplace, before retiring to one of the 8 bedrooms above. If you’re looking for something a bit different, there’s even a shepherd’s hut at the bottom of the garden.

The Lamb Inn

A charming bathroom with a freestanding clawfoot tub set against a stone wall. An open doorway leads outside, allowing natural light to enhance the space’s rustic character.

30-minutes from Soho Farmhouse, The Lamb Inn is just down the road from The Swan Inn. It’s run by Peter Creed & Tom Noest, who also own The Bell Inn Langford, one of my favourite pubs in The Cotswolds.

So as well as beautiful bedrooms, you can expect excellent food here. In 2019, Peter & Tom actually took up residency at Soho Farmhouse, with Little Bell.

The best hotels near Soho Farmhouse – with a spa

If you’re looking for a more relaxing stay, there’s nothing better than checking into a hotel with a spa.

Minster Mill

This image features a charming riverside property with a thatched-roof building surrounded by manicured hedges and trees. An outdoor patio area is set with tables and chairs overlooking the calm river, creating a serene and picturesque atmosphere under a partly cloudy sky. The idyllic setting highlights rustic architecture and natural beauty.

I stayed at Minster Mill when it first opened in 2020 and it’s the perfect place to relax. In the sleepy village of Minster Lovell, the location is idyllic, with just a few country pubs nearby.

Make sure you get a room with a private patio overlooking the stream. I had the best evening sat outside with the fire on looking up at the stars. There’s the added bonus of the Garden spa, with a pool, sauna and treatment options.

Conclusion

As you can see, there’s plenty of incredible hotels near Soho Farmhouse. From cosy pubs to sprawling spa hotels, you’re bound to find somewhere amazing to stay if there’s no room at the farm.
