The Ultimate Mallorca travel guide for 2026

Mallorca is an island I constantly return to. I’ve been seven times now and each time I I find something new to love. It has some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen, amazing restaurants, stunning hotels, and jaw-dropping mountains and scenery.

Basically, there’s something for everyone in Mallorca, so no matter what kind of holiday you enjoy, you’ll find something for you on this incredible island.

This guide is your one stop shop for planning your trip to Mallorca. It includes my favourite beaches, restaurants, villages and towns, things to do and hotels, plus some information on getting around the island.

Getting around Mallorca

Mallorca is a big island, and relying solely on public transport limits where you can go. If you want to explore beyond the main towns and beaches, hiring a car makes a huge difference.

I always use Discover Cars when renting a car in Mallorca. They compare prices across multiple providers, and I’ve found them reliable, with clear policies and no unexpected issues when returning the car.

Taxis do exist across the island, but availability can be limited, especially outside of larger towns, so it’s not something I’d rely on unless you’ve booked in advance.

Uber does operate in Mallorca, but fares are generally higher than local taxis, making it a less budget-friendly option.

How long do you need in Mallorca?

I’d recommend at least four full days in Mallorca, but ideally a week.
