Is this the prettiest beach in Europe?
This is Es Canutells, a small, but extremely beautiful beach located on the south of Menorca.
It’s easy to reach by car, with free parking right next to the beach, and the good views start as soon as you step out of your car. The water is a stunning mix of turquoise and blues, with steps leading down to a fairly secluded beach (especially during shoulder season, Menorca still enjoys temperatures of around 24°C in October!)
There’s only one small restaurant here, set back slightly from the beach, and there’s no shops, so make sure you bring everything you need (and take it with you when you leave!).
Head down the stairs by the restaurant and you’ll find a boardwalk that wraps around the rocks. It’s the perfect place for sunbathing, with ladders leading directly into the water when you want to call off.
