Everything you need to know about Menorca in 2026

Menorca is home to over 200km of coastline, the world’s second largest natural harbour, an art gallery on its own island and one of Europe’s coolest bars.

It’s a great alternative to neighbouring Mallorca if you’re searching for something a bit different. It’s much smaller so it’s great for a shorter trip.

This guide is your one stop shop for planning your trip to Menorca. It includes my favourite beaches, restaurants, villages and towns, things to do and hotels, plus some information on getting around the island.

Getting around Menorca

Menorca isn’t a huge island, but I’d still recommend hiring a car to give you total flexibility on where you visit.

I always use Discover Cars when renting a car in Menorca. They compare prices across multiple providers, and I’ve found them reliable, with clear policies and no unexpected issues when returning the car.

Taxis do exist across the island, but availability can be limited, especially outside of larger towns, so it’s not something I’d rely on unless you’ve booked in advance, and there’s no Uber in Menorca.

How long do you need in Menorca?

I’d recommend at least three full days in Menorca.
