Alpe di Siusi Hotels: 7 Incredible Places to Stay in 2024
Searching for the best Alpe di Siusi hotels? My guide covers 7 incredible places to stay in this beautiful part of the Dolomites.
Alpe di Siusi (also known as Seiser Alm) is the largest high-alpine meadow in Europe, and a must visit on any trip to the Dolomites.
It’s made up of beautiful lush meadows, rolling hills, and incredible views of the surrounding mountains.
After 9am, cars aren’t allowed into Alpe di Siusi, to keep traffic to a minimum during the day when people are hiking.
You’ll only be allowed to drive through if you’re staying in a hotel there (and you’ll be asked to prove it).
So not only is staying in Alpe di Siusi an opportunity to wake up to some of the most amazing views in the Dolomites, it means you’ll have unique access to the area.

There’s just 28 rooms at Living Hotel Tirler, so it has a really intimate feel. Rooms range from cosy doubles to family apartments, spread across two storeys.
There’s an outdoor pool with stunning views over Alpe di Siusi, and water fed from the hotels private spring. It’s heated to 33°C so you can swim here even in winter.
There’s also a hot tub and four different saunas across the hotel.
Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in the alpine hut, located just across the road from the hotel. The restaurant serves up South Tyrolean dishes using the best local ingredients.
Saltria
Saltria is a beautiful 4* hotel located in the middle of Alpe di Siusi. There’s different room sizes to suit every budget, and whilst they have a more traditional design (think lots of wood), they have a really cosy feel.
There’s an impressive 13m indoor swimming pool, as well as an 11m outdoor pool with panoramic views. There’s also an indoor whirlpool, relaxation room, multiple saunas, saltwater bath and a Turkish steam bath.

Hotel Rosa Eco Alpine Spa Resort
Hotel Rosa Eco Alpine Spa Resort describes itself as “small and luxury” and has a unique location surrounded by Sassolungo, Sassopiatto and Sciliar mountains. Here, you’ll get 360° views across Alpe di Siusi.

The 40 rooms all have a modern design, and some come with freestanding bath tubs, perfect for relaxing in after a long day exploring.
Hotels outside Alpe di Siusi
If you can’t find the perfect hotel in Alpe di Siusi, I’d recommend staying in nearby Siusi.
This is where the cable car is located, which you can get up to Alpe di Siusi at any time of day. There’s a few restaurants and shops here, and the cable car only takes 25 minutes to get to the top.
Hotel Arvina
Hotel Arvina is one of the smallest hotels on this list, with just 17 rooms. This means you get a much more personal experience. Personally, I much prefer this to huge chain hotels.
There’s an infinity pool, sauna area, hot tub, and a variety of massages on offer.
Restaurant Trotzstube is the hotel’s own restaurant, using ingredients locally sourced around the Alpe di Siusi.
Sensoria Dolomites
Sensoria Dolomites is easily one of the most beautiful hotels on this list.
A lot of the hotels in the area feel a bit outdated, but Sensoria is design-led, which is reflected in the simple, modern interiors.
If it’s a special occasion, you have to book a suite, complete with freestanding bath tub and a private hot tub on your balcony.
The hotel’s bath house is home to a heated indoor and outdoor pool, Finnish sauna, organic sauna and steam sauna, as well as treatments personalised to your needs.
What to pack for your trip to the Dolomites
A water bottle: There’s plenty of water fountains around the Dolomites perfect for refilling your bottle. I have this Stanley bottle, it keeps water cold for over 12 hours, and has a straw for easy drinking
A backpack: I have this Osprey backpack which is perfect for day hikes. There’s space for my camera equipment, extra layers, snacks and my water bottle in the side.
Hiking shoes: I’d recommend a pair of hiking shoes or boots for your trip to the Dolomites. They don’t need to be expensive but they’ll support your feet much better than trainers. These are a great option for your first pair of boots, and they’ll last a long time.
A raincoat: The weather can change quite quickly in the mountains, so I’d pack a raincoat just in case. I always like to carry a pac a mac as they don’t take up much room.
